Hola,
Soy hermana Gunter
y soy mormona...jaja
I just felt like
saying that...I dont know why but this week has been great. We reciently
had changes and so I have a new companion named Hermana Reyes. She is
from Guatemala and super little and skinny. She is super sweet and calm
all the time. But she has a cute personality and very patient. She
brings a great spirit into the lessons. Slowly but surely the ward is
growing and this saturday it looks like we will have some more baptisms.
The daughters that are like little angels of Mariela and Fernando.
I am so excited.
We have found a lot
of new people to teach so that is good. One of my favorites was Roberto.
He is a son of another old investigator. He was sitting outside the
house when we contacted him and he told us that his girlfriend had left him and
was mad at him and he didnt know why. We taught him about pray and how he
Christ can aliviate his pain. The next lesson we taught the restuaration.
He then committed to go to church on Sunday. And to our surprise,
showed up with his book of mormon is his grocery bag all ready to learn in the
gates. The only problem is that he lives about an hour away in bus.
I have really
notied this week the importance of actively participating in ward. We
have been planning for weeks an activity for the relief society and when the
hour arrived, only 2 out of 15 that we invited showed up when they all told us
they could go. We even did what they wanted to. I understand that
it is hard to make it sometimes but we had dedicated so much time and money to
make sure it happened. But at least I got to learn how to make skirts!
And it was super fun! So if I could give any advice, it would be go to your
activities because someone has put a lot of time into them... and also it will
help so that things arent so awkward on sundays. We are members
everyday...not only on Sundays.
con mucho amor,
Hermana Gunter
