This week we had a ton of fun
being it the last week of the mission for the Hermana Wadsworth. We
started out with a fun service project on Wednesday with marita a member of the
ward. We sanded the walls getting ready to paint. In the next
couple weeks we will be helping her clean and paint the house. It was great
to get some service in. We also cleaned the church with the elders
quorum...being only the president who showed up! And the funnest part of
the whole week was when we got to plan the retro dance. First it was
supposed to be in held by the relief society but the day of, the president sent
us a message saying that they werent going to be able to follow through.
We were pretty upset because we had already invited almost all of Iguazu.
So in the end they put us in charge and we pulled off another great activity.
The president liked it so much that he spontaneously announced another dance
for the next weekend during sacrament meeting! And then we finished the
week with a some great english classes. With all of the fun activities we
had, we were still able to reach our goals and contact many references!
It was a great experience. I sure hope I can finish my mission with the
same amount of energy and success as the Hermana Wadsworth. Even though
the people didnt reach baptism this week, we didnt let that stop us from working
even harder in the vineyard of the Savior.
The ward is
great. The members are great...but a little flaky. We are trying to
work on having more unity with the members because they dont really trust
missionaries like they used to because of the mistakes of former
missionaries. Little by little we are trying to gain their confidence and
this week, we were finally invited to the branch conference. We are still
working with Gladys but she always has a good excuse for not coming to church. another
investigator that is progressing is named Alejandra and she is a great friend
of one of the less active members. We just recieved the changes and it
looks like I will be training once again! It think it will be a great
opportunity to keep working hard until the last minute!
It was great to see
your pictures! Thanksgiving doesnt exist here so for us it was just a normal
old day. Well I love you all,
hasta pronto
Hermana Gunter
